A Huge Thank You to UK Unplugged 💛
We would like to express our sincere thanks to UK Unplugged for hosting an incredible and meaningful day for our OLLY children on Saturday 10th May 2025.
The event took place inside the SoapWorks building in Port Sunlight — but it was UK Unplugged who designed, funded, and delivered every aspect of the experience. The theme of the day centred around the story of Elizabeth Leather, a remarkable woman from Liverpool who lived in Port Sunlight and worked aboard the Titanic. She survived the disaster, and her story inspired a creative, engaging, and heartfelt session for our children.
Children took part in hat making, cookie decorating, and games that passengers would have played on the Titanic. They even enjoyed a guided walk to see Elizabeth’s former home — bringing history to life in a way that was fun, respectful, and thought-provoking.
UK Unplugged not only planned and delivered the session, but also covered the costs of the venue hire, food, craft materials, and staffing, all without external funding. Two of their directors were present on the day, personally supporting the children and helping to create a safe and joyful atmosphere for the families who attended.
We are so grateful to UK Unplugged for their time, generosity, and creativity. This event made a lasting impact on the children, and we’re honoured to have shared it with such a passionate and caring team.
