Like so many others across the footballing world, everyone at OLLY was deeply saddened to hear of the tragic passing of Diogo Jota and his brother André. It’s hard to believe such vibrant and talented lives could be taken so suddenly. This loss has left many in shock — not just for what Diogo brought to the pitch, but for the kind and generous person he was off it.
Diogo was a special player who had time for the things that mattered. The signed memorabilia he provided through foundations like the 23 Foundation helped charities like ours raise vital funds — something we’ll always be grateful for. His gesture wasn’t just about football; it was about helping children and families in our communities feel supported and seen.
Our thoughts and heartfelt condolences go out to their family, friends, teammates, and all who knew them. Two lives lost far too soon — they will be greatly missed.
